2017~2024 TAIWAN EXPO
Taiwan External Trade Development Council
On September 5, 2016, the Executive Yuan launched the "New Southbound Policy Promotion Plan," emphasizing talent cultivation, economic and trade cooperation, tourism, and cultural exchanges. Adhering to the principles of "long-term deepening, diverse development, and mutual benefit," the plan integrates government and private resources, focusing on four main areas: "economic and trade cooperation," "talent exchange," "resource sharing," and "regional connectivity." The goal is to create mutually beneficial partnerships with ASEAN, South Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, fostering a sense of economic community.
Based on this concept, the TAIWAN EXPO promotes exchanges between Taiwan and New Southbound countries through exhibitions, seminars, sharing sessions, and matchmaking events. Implementing the New Southbound Policy Promotion Plan helps Taiwanese businesses grow, match their strengths with opportunities, and maximize economic benefits.
In 2023, the TAIWAN EXPO debuted in Washington D.C. and Tokyo, and in 2024, it will come to Berlin. TAITRA has been, and will continue, leading more Taiwanese industries onto the international stage.
